About Relationships
"We must never allow the domination of another being or situation onto ourselves."
From the moment of birth life begins independently. Relationships develop throughout life with human beings and our environment.
We develop a relationship with everything that surrounds us.
Relationships have a lifespan, be it with parents, siblings, friends or partners. The natural process of growth to maturity alters our behaviour, our desires and our drive. This requires relationships to adjust.
If a relationship causes us discomfort we must make a decision on what is best for our wellbeing.
It is easy to become dependent in relationships where it is difficult to let go. This makes us continue and keep going back for more, even when we know that it is detrimental to our wellbeing.
When cycles are completed in any relationship we must not allow mental domination to intrude and paralyse our life. We must eliminate any guilt that detachment may bring.
At The Mind Clinic we bring an understanding about the importance of all aspects in relationships. We will define what is important and what is not. The decision then lies with the individual.
There may be a need to make sacrifices and accept certain situations so the relationship can continue. Others will feel the release from a toxic relationship is empowering and necessary to create freedom and peace.
